Nigeria: The infamous 1996 Pfizer trial
Fri 12 Aug 2011
“The world's biggest research-based pharmaceutical company announced on Thursday that it had made payments of $175,000 (£108,000) to each family. More such compensation settlements are expected to follow.
Pfizer was sued after 11 children died in a clinical trial when the northern state of Kano was hit by Africa's worst ever meningitis epidemic in 1996. A hundred children were given an experimental oral antibiotic called Trovan, while a further hundred received ceftriaxone, the "gold-standard" treatment of modern medicine”
The victims, who spoke to The ICIR 24 years later, said that none of their parents were ever told that their wards were being administered experimental drugs and, in effect, being used as guinea pigs. Thus, no one gave Pfizer consent as is required in such procedures.
Bello’s mum had assumed the drugs were for the treatment of meningitis, but shortly after the drugs had been administered to him he developed an unexpected side effect.
"We didn't even leave the hospital before a reaction manifested. Soon after, I developed paralysis in my legs,” Bello says, while struggling to maintain a stable sitting position during the interview.
It was “soon after I was paralysed, that my mother got to know that it was Pfizer who had given her the drugs from their experiment,” Bello recalls. Aside from the fake approval, it was later claimed that Pfizer did not have proper/written consent from parents to use an experimental drug on their children and questions were raised over the documentation of the trial.
Of the participants in the trial, 11 children died and dozens of others were left with debilitating injuries: blindness, paralysis, deafness, and neurological deficits, which the company maintains are the result of meningitis, not the drugs they administered. (Pfizer did not respond to multiple requests for comment for this story.)
A Question of Consent
Pfizer has maintained that they obtained prior verbal consent from all parents for the experiment, but parents like Maryam and trial participants like 29-year-old Bala Bello tell a different story.
Bello, a graduate of Business Administration from Bayero University Kano, was four-years-old during the meningococcal meningitis outbreak. His hometown was the epicentre of the outbreak, which left scores dead in Kano State.
Bello recounted what his mother told him happened. “I was ill and taken to the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), popularly known as ‘Asibitin Zana’ located along France Road in Kano”, he explained. “I was given some drugs, which no one explained to her (my mum) what the said drugs were meant for.”
In 1998, the license for Trovan for use by adults was withdrawn from the European Medical Agency, because of concerns over serious medical problems and multiple deaths. It was withdrawn from the US market in 1999 for the same reasons, though at the time Pfizer said trials had revealed no side effects (a common denominator with this company) It appears results from the trial in Kano State were never published.
In 2001, an investigation by the Washington Post uncovered that a document Pfizer claimed to prove ethical approval by Nigerian authorities for the trial appeared to be falsified and back-dated.
What followed in the years after the drug trial would be a lengthy legal battle between Pfizer, the Nigerian government, and the families of the children involved.
A Statement from the European Medicines Agency, 1999
“The scientific Committee for Proprietary Medicinal Products (CPMP) of the European Medicines Evaluation Agency (EMEA), during its extraordinary meeting on 10 June 1999, adopted an Opinion recommending the suspension of the marketing authorisation of TROVAN/TROVAN IV and TURVEL/TURVEL IV. This was due to increasing concerns over 152 documented reports of serious hepatic events, including 9 cases where patients died or required a liver transplant.”

Kenya: INFERTILITY: A diabolical Agenda! Where there is a risk, there should be a choice
November 2014
The Kenya Catholic Doctors Association released a statement recently indicating that the association had found traces of an antifertility agent in tetanus vaccinations that have been administered by the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) on Kenyan females aged 14 to 49 since October 2013.
Catholic doctors in Kenya accused the WHO of using tetanus vaccines there as a covert sterilization effort. In March of that year, three accredited independent labs in Nairobi found hCG in the vaccine samples where none should have been. The following October, 6 vials were found and sent to six independent labs. The hCG was found in half of the samples.
Subsequent tests by Nairobi’s AgriQ Quest laboratory, in two sets of analyses, found hCG again in the same vials that they had been found in previously. Researchers in the Open Access Library Journal concluded, “[O]ur opinion is that the Kenya ‘anti-tetanus’ campaign was reasonably called into question by the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association as a front for population growth reduction.”25
“We sent six samples from around Kenya to laboratories in South Africa. They tested positive for the HCG antigen,” Dr. Muhame Ngare of the Mercy Medical Centre in Nairobi told reporters. “They were all laced with HCG.”
The Kenya Catholic Doctors Association is charging two separate United Nations organizations with knowingly sterilizing millions of women
A film by award-winning filmmaker Andy Wakefield, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Children’s Health Defense. Watch the chilling tale of African women whose fertility was tragically stripped away through an experimental tetanus vaccination program. Are women everywhere next?
In this documentary film, you’ll learn:
The chilling, harrowing story of how a World Health Organization (WHO) population control experiment, under the guise of a vaccination program, resulted in the sterilization of millions of women in Africa without their knowledge or consent.
How the ability to carry a pregnancy to term has been tragically stripped away from these women as their government attempts to cover up the evidence.
About a brave, Kenyan doctor — Dr. Stephen Karanja — who warned the world that once they’re done with Africa, they’re coming for the children and everyone else.
Perspectives from leading experts expressing their concerns regarding other vaccines that could cause infertility in women around the world, including the COVID shot.
In essence, Bill Gates is in charge of the world’s health. The application of his massive wealth, and his rallying of others to do the same, puts him in an unparalleled position of impact. However, his influence is enormous enough that it may muffle the scrutiny he would otherwise receive. Gates’ philanthropy on health care is driven by his perspective that population control is key. His integral role in the funding of WHO is cause for concern because of that organization’s long association with the development of abortive vaccines even before Gates’ influence came to apply. It is important that national governments and watchdog groups provide extensive independent assessment of Gates-sponsored vaccines, especially through WHO, to ensure that they do not become covert means of contraception.

South Africa Rejects Big Pharma’s “Satanic” Campaign
Wednesday, January 22, 2014
South Africa Rejects Big Pharma’s “Satanic” Campaign - The Innovative Pharmaceutical Association South Africa recently rejected a U.S. pharmaceutical campaign in opposition to the proposed changes of South African intellectual property. Global pharmaceutical companies have allegedly created a $600,000 publicity campaign opposing these changes, and recently submitted a nine page document to the South African government titled, Campaign to Prevent Damage to Innovation from the Proposed Draft National IP Policy in South Africa.
The so-called attack on the country’s new policies was not well-received and has caused a huge rift in the IP world. South African Minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi, expressed his disgust on Friday, claiming that the campaign “is a conspiracy of satanic magnitude” and a “plan for genocide.”
“Who watches the watchmen?”
Gates, who has announced that his $40 billion foundations will shift its “total attention” to fighting COVID-19, has been accused of a range of misdeeds, from scheming to profit off a vaccine to creating the virus itself. On April 8, Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Attorney General Bill Barr speculated about whether Gates would use digital certificates to monitor anyone who got vaccinated.
